Regretably, I just found out about Pete tonight and my prayers go out to the family. I'll never forget him making me pull his boots off for him the first day I met him and for like 10 minutes he had his toes curled up so they wouldn't come off so I had to keep on pulling, finally he uncurled them and I flew backwards. Its been many years but Ann - Love is always in my heart for him and the family! Pete - you will be missed! praying for you all! Paula

Aunt Ann, Kelly, Kristi, and Patrick... Uncle Pete will be missed like crazy. I was always so proud to talk about my "Uncle Pete" and what an amazing man he was. His stories were the best. Rest assured, he and GG are watching over all of us side by side. Love to you all.

"Pete" and Ann were my friends and neighbors when we lived in Bad Nauheim West Germany back in 1977. Ann just found me about 2 weeks ago on Facebook and I was looking forward to talking to both of them...I have a brother named Pierre, I knew Pete's name was Pierre but always called him "Pete" back then. I wanted to share a funny memory I have...we lived in stairwell apartments and the lights in them had a timer...one night when Pete was in his stairwell, the lights went off and a neighbor's monkey jumped on him...you could hear Pete's scream from down the block...maybe in the next town :) (Don't ask me why a neighbor had a monkey cause I have no idea?) I also remember the children...Kristi and Kelly were friends with my daughters Andrea and Lisa and when Patrick was born, I had the honor of being his Godmother...we've lost touch over the years but the memories will always be in my heart of this very special family who touched my life...

"God looked around his garden and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon the Earth and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you, and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful~He always takes the best~He knew that you were suffering~He knew you were in pain~He knew that you would never get well on Earth again~He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace Be Thine"
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you~The day God called you HOME~

I worked in the office at QNC. I worked on personnel as well as in other areas. When Pierre applied I saw his application. Wow Pierre, I never knew anyone named Pierre, my son's name is Peter (Pete) and when he was little I read him a story of "Pierre, I Don't Care". I can only hope that my son, who is now 30, will reap such rewards of love as shown here in the words of family and friends. Pete was a very special coworker, I enjoyed many conversations with him. He and his family will remain in my prayers.

Pete was such a kind, loving man. I will always remember his bright, sparkling eyes and the way they lit up when he watched his grandchildren play. His love for people and animals showed his great compassion. His respect for his country showed his amazing honor and loyalty. He is loved and missed by so many... What a proud legacy to leave behind. May you rest in peace with our loving Lord and Savior. Love, The Leidy Family

Papa,
You were an inspiring person who always knew the right things to say at the exact right times, you picked on me in the best ways. You always made me reach my goals and go above and beyond. You were an example for the world of what a perfect man, husband, father, friend, papa, and Hero could be. The things that you taught me were valuable and I will never forget them. You have taught me the true meaning of what family is. The way you welcomed Evan into the Family and guys watched History/Military channel for hours. You and Nana were my biggest supporters when I got married and When Evan and I had Kayne Lucas. Kayne Loved you so much I wont ever forget the look on your face the first time He said Papa! Your memory will never be forgotten. We are truly blessed to have had you a part of our lives. Love you forever

Uncle Pete, Where do I begin, when I first met you and Ann, I felt so welcome into the family. I remember the stories and will treasure them always. Pete, you and I have had some good chats over the years with your quiet wisdom. I will treasure those always. You will always be in our thoughts and we'll tell our fond stories and memories of you. Ann, Kelly, Kristi, Patrick and the whole family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I know that he is in a better place and no one was ready for him to go. I will always believe that you will be all our guardian angel - the one on the Harley! Love, Glenda

You will always be an inspiration. Every conversation we ever had you talked about the pride you felt for your children. You could have gone on and on for days about all of them. The pride and love you showed for them was remarkable. Another thing that stands out in my mind is the way you talked about Ann. You always talked about the past and how super hot she was and is now. The way you spoke of her showed that you were truly in love. To have that is something some people only dream about. My heart is heavy because I know how much your family is missing you but one day by the grace of God you will be together again. FYI, Kristi and I will raise a glass and have a cigar in honor of you "a remarkable man".

Where do I begin...because of you and Ann I have a husband that lives each day for his country and family. You paved the way for the man that Patrick is today and I can't thank you enough for raising a boy that became a man so full of love, respect, loyalty and faithfulness. He walks in your footsteps; he will carry on your legacy as he proudly serves each day in the military and as he raises his children as you did yours. I couldn't have asked for a more loving father-in-law and grandfather for my children. I will miss you so much...more than I could ever express. God truly blessed me with the family that I married in to. I promise you that there won't be one day that goes by that my children won't hear of your name. Crew will proudly carry on the Costello name and your princess Maia will share all of her memories of you with her little brother. I will cherish the memories...my love for you always.
Love,
Your "Daughter" Jennifer

My Brother Pete,
You were a special gift that God brought to our lives.I love you and, will miss you so very much!
In your memory I know you will always be with us.
For now we are grieving and tears we weep but, in my heart I know you do not sleep.
"You are a mighty force with wings to go.
You are the diamond glits on pure white snow.
You are the sunlight we see on a golden field of grain.
You are the gentle aroma of an autumn rain.
When we wake in the morning hush
you will be the swift uplifiting rush.
When quiet birds go in flight.
You will be the brightest star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there. I'll never die.
Ann, Kelly, Kristi, Patrick and, family God bless all of you, we love you all so much.

Papa,
You are heavily missed. Your heartfelt hellos and goodbyes, your easy smile, and your hugs. You never missed an opportunity to tell someone how much they were loved or appreciated. You welcomed Isaly, Bo, and me into your family. I am sad for all of us who loved being with you and enjoyed your good company. Your strong principles, sense of fairness, and good memories live on in all of us. Thank you for Kristi and thank you for taking care of Bo. Maggie will continue to be loved and spoiled. I love you!

Pete,
I know you are in a better place now without the years of pain and suffering but I was not ready for you to go. You are a great man who touched more people than you can ever imagine. Regardless of the situation you always had sage advice and a story to tell. You gave far more than you received and are the best man I have ever known. Never judgmental or condescending just a great listener. I will miss most our bourbon and cigs and story telling with each other. I will never go through a winter or bike ride without thinking of you and missing you. Through all the years and miles I have traveled one thing I could always count on was you and Ann being there for me when I returned home. I always knew you would have a glass of bourbon ready and a story to tell. I only hope I can turn out to be half the man you are. Rest in peace and never worry about Ann we will take good care of her for you. I miss you and love you.
