I just heard about Ms. Virgie. My Grandmother, Annie Jones, just spent 20 days in rehab as Ms. Virgie's roommate. My Grandmother and I both fell in love with Virgie, she was a wonderful friend to my Grandmother while they were there together. You are all in my thoughts.

Judy and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Virgie's death. As you know, Marty has many good memories of your mother and I with you for those bus driving days in Spotsylvania County.
May the Lord provide each of you the strength needed at this time. Cherish the wonderful memories as I know you all have many.
God Bless,

Mrs. Howard was my bus driver for many years..... getting on a big yellow bus is scary to a kindergartner -- but her smile made everything okay. When I was in elementary school, she made everyday with that smile. I would like to extend my condolences to her family and let them know that she was very special to many children over the years and to thank them for sharing her with us.

We are both sorry to hear of Virgie's death. Our memories go way back to her bus driving days when we were kids. Hellen Keller said,"What we have once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Keep Virgie alive in your hearts through the wonderful memories.

To Mrs. Howard's family and all those she touched, my deepest sympathies.
I remember her so very fondly as my elementary school bus driver and then later as my junior high and high school activity bus driver. Mrs. Howard's smile was always a warm welcome on some very cold days! She was kind, generous and patient, asking often about our siblings and other family members. She was particularly compassionate when any of her "kids" families suffered a tragedy. I am sure that she is similarly remembered by thousands of other Spotsylvania school children. I consider her one of the few great ladies who have influenced my life; and know with all certainty that she has been received by a choir of angels and is seated at Christ's side.
God bless you, Mrs. Howard, and God bless your family.

To the Howard family,
(Mrs Virgie Howard)
During this period of breavement, I would like to express my deepest sympathy and offer condolences to each of you.
Mrs. Howard, (Virgie) was a good person who just liked everyone.
I met her many years ago when she drove the activity bus for Spotsy High. She was an excellent driver who had a oustanding way of dealing with others because of her people skills. Her personality allowed her to be respected by her student passengers that she transported each day. She always greeted everyone with a kind word and a smile. Her personality was a valuable assett to the success of the activity bus program.
Family, May God grant each of you strength and courage in the days, weeks and months to come.

Judy & John, Billie & Lorine and Dennis and Bonnie,
My prayers and thoughts go out to all of you during this time.
In times of sorrow, God’s quiet waters of hope and courage flow.
Our lives can feel uprooted in a time of loss and grief, it seems we are forsaken as we struggle for belief—and yet God’s quiet waters of hope and courage flow to nourish and sustain us more deeply than we know.
And in a time of sorrow, our prayers are heard on high for light and life and comfort as healing time goes by.
May God Be Your Comforter.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult
time. Whenever I drive by her house I remember her sitting on the porch rocking and a school bus was always parked near the house. My Mom (Polly) and my Dad (Boyd) were long standing friends of your parents. May the Lord Bless You.
