Jean Shelton Leonarkis, 84, of Port Orange, Florida formally of Fredericksburg, died peacefully on Thursday, July 29, 2010 surrounded by her children at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach Florida.
She was born and raised in Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Leonarkis; her mother, Mary Gallahan Shelton; her father, Charles Mercer Shelton; her sisters, Thelma Quann and her twin sister, Joyce Labbe
Survivors include her daughters, Marcia Donley and her husband Robin, of Port Orange, Florida, Georgiene Leonarkis-Furrow and her husband Keith, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Jenniene Cheng and her husband Dr. Robert Cheng, of Gold River, California; her son, Jorge Leonarkis and his wife Adrienne, of Spotsylvania, Virginia; her sisters, Esther Rittner of Fredericksburg and Marybeth Vlahos of Hampton, New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Joshua Donley, Emily Cheng, Courtney Leonarkis, Joseph Leonarkis, Trisha Haas, Tashina Monk, Joshua Furrow; two Great Grandchildren and many adoring nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 3 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Labbe, Danny Labbe, Dennis Labbe, Freddie Quann, Billy Rittner, and Donny Rittner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Labbe and Ricky Ross.
The family will have visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug 2 at the funeral home.
