James Edward Bresnock, 70, of Dumfries, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at Prince William Medical Center.
Mr. Bresnock had worked in real estate, trucking and dry cleaning. He was a member of Dumfries United Methodist Church and had served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Harris Bresnock; a sister, Joyce Saxon and her husband, Paul, and many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10am, Friday, August 6 at Dumfries United Methodist Church with Rev. R. Douglas Geeting officiating. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dumfries United Methodist Church, 3890 Cameron Street, Dumfries, Virginia 22026 or to the Humane Society of the United States, Dept. MEMIT9, 2100 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037.
