Angelica Nichole Garcia, 16, of Fredericksburg died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Angelica was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, in Spotsylvania County. She was a rising junior and varsity cheerleader at Chancellor High School, where she was a member of YADAP, the National Junior Honor Society, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Angelica was also involved in community service projects throughout the school.
Survivors include her Daddy, Alberto Garcia-Arana; her Mommy, Lisa Garcia; her Dad, Vincent Wormley; four brothers, Thomas Neitzey, Luis Garcia, Joshua Wormley, and Corey Mann; four sisters, Margarita Garcia, Jessica M. Garcia, Selene Garcia, and Jessica Garcia; her maternal grandparents, Wallace C. Neitzey and Janet Neitzey; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Angelica was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Luis Garcia and Margarita Arana.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, July 23, 2010 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles W. Wormley, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm, Thursday, July 22 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
