Dorothy Mae "Dotty" Dodson, 83, of Fredericksburg formerly of Goldvein, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mrs. Dodson attended Northside Baptist Church in Fredericksburg and Grove Baptist Church in Goldvein.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ashby Dodson and parents, Preston Harding and Nancy Locke Harding.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Blaisdell and her husband, Vernon of Hartwood, Candace Rehling and her husband, Orv, of Bel Air, Marland and Kathy Eastham and her husband, Mark, of Staunton; six grandchildren, Everet Blaisdell and his wife Lindsey, Judy Powell and her husband, Tom, Donna Shaheed, Frank Rehling, Katherine Eastham and Caroline Eastham; great granddaughter, Sydney Blaisdell; and her devoted pet, Oliver.
A service will be held at 1p.m. Monday, July 19 at Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. James G. Newton, Sr. Officiating. Interment will follow in Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 18 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
