Evelyn Joyce Delano, 72, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, October 30, 2009 at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Wilton T. Delano; seven children, Glenn Soderberg and his wife, Gina, of Miami, Patricia Weakland and her husband, James, of Spotsylvania, Carl Soderberg and his wife, Tracy, of Hillsboro, North Carolina, Robert Delano of Orange, Deborah Houchins of Van Nuys, California, Janine McCarty and her husband, James of Caroline, and Christina Hall and her husband, Doug, of Conway, South Carolina; twenty seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard C. Soderberg.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 3 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Soderberg, Carl Soderberg, Jerrett Gore, Wesley McCarty, James McCarty, and Jimmy Weakland.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 2 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rappahannock Y.M.C.A., 212 Butler Road, Falmouth, Virginia 22405.
