Corey Blake Saunders, 24, of Spotsylvania County died Friday, October 23, 2009.
Corey was a 2003 graduate of Chancellor High School.
Survivors include his father, William H. Saunders III of Fredericksburg; mother and step-father, Sherry L. and James E. Monroe of Spotsylvania; brother, John "Buddy" Saunders of Spotsylvania; paternal grandmother, Lyonne S. Saunders of Fredericksburg; maternal grandparents, John and Shirley Hunt of Heathsville; and aunt, Theresa L. House of Clifton.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 27 at Salem Fields Community Church with the Rev. Buddy Marston. Interment will follow in Wilderness Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nick Cox, Dana Newton, Scott Cook, Ryan Helmer, Steven Sisson, Albie LaBossiere, and Mike Harris.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, October 26 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Fields Community Church, 11120 Gordon Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22407.
